Research Projects

Pervasive Cyberinfrastructure for Personalized Learning and Instructional Support (PERCEPOLIS)

Worked as a research assistant and JAVA developer on the PERCEPOLIS project, the overarching objective of which is to develop an educational cyberinfrastructure that facilitates resource sharing, collaboration, and personalized learning in higher education. We leverage advances in agent-based software engineering, databases, global information sharing processes, and pervasive computing to create this cyberinfrastructure - Missouri S&T, Fall 2010 - present.

Software-based Analysis of the Immunity of Embedded Systems to EMI (Samsung[Pic1] [Pic2]

Worked as a researcher on a project with the objective of bridging the gap between electromagnetic and software engineering. This involved developing non-intrusive and robust software tools and techniques to monitor and record the effects of ESD on the operation of embedded systems. Such software engineering practices could be used to mitigate the effect of ESD. The research included investigating the available software tools for monitoring system behavior under the influence of ESD and analyzing the underlying hardware. - Internship at Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory(EMC), Missouri, Summer 2011.

Simorgh High Performance Cluster

Worked as a senior researcher with Simorgh Cluster, which provides scientific computing services to Computer and Science departments for their CPU intensive applications and also provides a platform for researchers working in the field of Parallel and Distributed Computing. This platform is fully functional and works with LAM/MPI and XMPI as a graphical user interface for running, debugging and visualizing MPI programs - Internship at Information Technology Services (ITS), Spring 2009.
