ASSOCIATION of ENVIRONMENTAL and ENGINEERING GEOLOGISTS

Missouri University of Science and Technology Student Chapter
The Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG) at the Missouri University of Science and Technology is a student organization dedicated to education and advancements in
geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, seismic engineering, environmental
engineering, engineering geology, and engineering geophysics. We are funded
solely by our student members and donations. We receive no financial support
from the university, the national chapter, or any other organization.
The Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists (AEG) Student Chapter is an extension
of the the national professional association of the AEG. AEG is the professional
society for Geological Engineers and others in the field of Engineering Geology,
Geophysics, Environmental and Geotechnical Engineering.
The mission of the Student Chapter of AEG at Missouri S&T is to increase awareness of and interest in geological engineering among our student body and within the community. In addition, we strive to make our members better engineers and geologists by presenting them with real world engineering problems. We accomplish this by participating in various campus, state and local activities, offering monthly speaker meetings, field trips, taking part in St. Louis Section activities, and by encouraging and assisting attendance at the AEG Annual Meeting.
