About the Anime Club

Show Me Anime is a student organization at the University of Science and Technology at Rolla, dedicated to promoting the japanese-originated art of anime and manga since 1987. In simpler terms, "We like to watch anime!"

General Activities

During the Fall and Spring semesters, Show Me Anime has weekly anime showings every Friday at 7:00 p.m. in room G31 of the Emerson Electric building (also refered to as the EE building). These showings are open to the general public, and consist of an officer-selected full length film, followed by episodes from the four anime series selected the previous semester by popular vote. The showings usually run until around 11:30 p.m., depending on the movie-length.

The officer's meetings occurs on the same day, same place, at 6:00 p.m. If anyone has suggestions or alternative ways for the club to be managed, this is the time and place to mention them. However, as this rarely occurs, the officer's meeting usually consists of showing anime streams to entertain everyone who happens to arrive early.

Additional Resources and Activities

Show Me Anime maintains an anime library on its private hard-drives. Only officers are authorized to handle the hard-drives, but any member of Show Me Anime may request the anime from the librarian if they have a suitable memory-storage device (USB stick, SD-card, portable hard-drive, etc.)

In addition, Show Me Anime will attempt to notify and arrange transportation to local anime- related events such as conventions. However, we are not perfect. If there is an event related to anime that we have not mentioned, but you believe we should go to, please tell us.
