Student Section At UMR
Joining ASHRAE will enable you to participate in the several activities
sponsored by the student chapter at UMR.
You will enjoy the benefit of meeting, not only students interested in the HVAC
industry, but also professional engineers involved in it, i.e. consulting
firms, contractors, etc. Networking with professionals is a tremendous asset
for a student, especially when it comes to job hunting.
In fact, if students are interested in going to one of the Parent Sections
meetings in
St. Louis
reimbursement for gas is accommodated.
Also, as a member of the student chapter at UMR you are entitled to compete for
a $500 scholarship from the ASHRAE-St. Louis Chapter, and, it is likely that if UMR
students apply at least one will receive this award.

As a student member of ASHRAE you will receive monthly issues of the ASHRAE
Journal where you will be kept updated of the latest technological advances
concerning the field of HVAC&R together with
a periodical
reporting news and events concerning the society.
And it only costs $16.00 a year!
