Evaluate the accleration of a satillite travelling at a constant speed of 7000m/s in circular orbit of radius of 3000km.


Let 'a't and 'a'nbe tangential and normal  components
of accleration respectively,
at = dv/dt and an = v2/r
and r is the radius of rotation.
Since the object is moving at constant speed impling that the rate of change of tangential velocity is zero and dv/dt=0 and at =0.      
Normal accleration:
an =(7000)2/3000x103=16.33m/s2
a = an = 16.33 m/s2.

So, the accleration of the satillite a = 16.33 m/s2
