Read a little more Emerson - It turns out that "Civil Disobediance"
was written as a protest to slavery and the war with Mexico.
Really it is a very well written piece that clearly expresses
Emerson's disgust with the US government and its policies.
Hopefully I'll be able to finish it on my next few rides (very dense
writing - takes me little extra time to read/digest, but well worth
it)
Maybe next week I'll finish up Augusta to the East (after that I'll have to
begin working my way west)

A little chilly out, but plenty of incredible fall colors.
It was especially pretty near Easly (sp?).
Oh - I also noticed that theres a "rock bridge" near
mile marker 167.
(It's getting a little too cool for my taste, but I think
I'll still try to get in a few more rides this year)
