In this class you will go through the academic process of developing your own algorithm. You will work in teams of around three people. This project is split into three phases. In the first phase you will research the problem you intend to solve and its existing solutions. From there you will extend into the second phase where you will develop your own solutions. Finally, in the third phase you will implement and compare your work to that of existing research.
To submit a homework assignment print a hardcopy of your work and bring it to class before the listed due date. Please staple your work and make sure that all of your names are on the front sheet.
Late, unnamed, incompleted, or unstapled work will not be accepted.
Please also note that the write-ups for these phases were created from notes I made when I was a grad student. When I was a grad student I never intended for my notes to be published anywhere and I did an extremely poor job of labeling where I was pulling my information from. I apologize in advance for any work that is used but improperly cited. Learn from my mistakes and be fastidious with your studies because you will never know where you may end up using your work again.
