Wireless Sensor Network Infrastructure & Protocols for mine safety

The goal of the project is to develop an sensor network infrastructure that can collect data from multimodal sensors in an underground mine to help us analyze the various factors that could be harmful for the workers. Protocols will be developed over this infrastructure to insure sensing capabilities of sensors from the effects of environmental variabilities. Finally, sensor data fusion methods are employed to give us a decision based or a raw data output which will help us address the issue of mine safety with better results.
