A Cooperative Game Theoretic Approach for Data Replication in a Mobile Ad-Hoc Network

The mobile computing environment provides many bene?ts such as ubiquitous access to computing and a portable form factor. With these bene?ts come certain challenges that are inherent to the mobile platform. These challenges primarily include constraints on resources such as: available bandwidth, data storage, and battery life. Replication is a widely recognized method for balancing the demands of storage space with band-width and battery life. We propose a novel scheme that seeks to strategically balance these constrained resources through a cooperative game-theoretic approach for replication in a mobile environment.
