DaVinci Society Officers
The following officers of the DaVinci Society have volunteered to have their names and e-mail addresses posted on this page.
Due to the inherently diverse nature of the DaVinci Society, a person’s name appearing on this list does NOT imply anything about their sexuality. That is to say, the following people may or may not be gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, queer, questioning, or straight.
President: Phillip McGee: pam42c at mst dot edu
Phill is a senior in Environmental Engineering and has been studying Spanish for five or so years. He was raised as a middle child in southeastern Missouri with his two sisters. In his spare time, he bicycles, studies, cooks, takes his puppy for a run, plays his PS3, or spends some quality time with his better half. Secretly, Phill loves bluegrass music and pretending to be a scientist. This is his third year on DaVinci’s executive board, and started coming to the group to help raise LGBTQ2A awareness and tolerance.Vice President: Trey Matzes: tcmbp3 at mst dot edu
Trey is in his second year at Missouri S&T, and he is working on his B.S. in Biological Sciences. He was raised in a town outside of St. Louis with his three brothers. He loves reading, and almost always has a new book that he is working on. He also enjoys listening to music and exploring new places. His favorite quote is “What’s the point of wearing your favorite rocket ship underpants if nobody ever asks to see ‘em?” from Calvin and Hobbes.Treasurer: Casey Patterson: cwpntd at mst dot edu
Casey is a senior of Environmental Engineering. He has served as an officer of DaVinci for the last three years, including serving as president. Casey also currently serves as vice president of Delta Lambda Phi. He grew up in rural southwest Missouri before coming to Missouri S&T. Outside of class, Casey enjoys bike riding, expanding his library, and trying new foods.Secretary: Jared Buretta: jwbwd2 at mst dot edu
Jared is a junior in Chemical Engineering. He transferred from Kaskaskia College in Centralia, IL and was born and raised on the outskirts of a small town called Ashley, IL. On campus, Jared likes to do homework, play ping-pong in Havener, and throw around a Frisbee. Off campus, he likes to play guitar, sing (he misses his band back home), and loves to cook. Jared loves to watch movies of all genres but especially cheesy B-rated horror flicks. After trying and failing to start an LGBT and Allies group at his college back home, he felt it was important to get involved here at S&T.Stuco Rep: Michael “Misha” Miller: mlm522 at mst dot edu
Misha grew up in Texas with a single sibling and many pugs. After two years of community college, she enlisted in the Air Force as a 2E251. Serving honorably, Misha declined to re-enlist due to being very gay, and instead enrolled at Missouri S&T as a Mechanical Engineering major. Currently a junior, she enjoys a variety of pastimes to include Magic: The Gathering, classic video games, and the ancient game of Go. Misha has been a vegetarian since early 2004, and an ordained High Priest in the Church of the Subgenius since October of 2006. Currently exploring her own gender, Misha considers herself to be an active and outgoing transgendered student.Web Chair: Andrew Dunkman: atdmt4 at mst dot edu
Andrew is in his third year as a Computer Science major here at Missouri S&T. He was born and raised just outside of Chicago, IL and very much considers himself a city person. Andrew has always considered himself a web developer, although last summer he worked as a user experience developer in Kansas City, MO and enjoyed it fully. He enjoys connecting with people on a personal level, and is always up for meeting a new friendly face. Andrew is also active at the Rolla Catholic Newman Center as well as in S&T’s choral program.- Advisor: Dee Leach: leachdp at mst dot edu
