The Similitudes: Carmarthan Oak Press, 1983. 26 pages, wire-stitched (stapled).
These poems were written in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Some of them first appeared in For the Time Being, Focus/Midwest, Image, and Poems of the Third Epoch. An excerpt from a letter on "The Redeemed Imagination" (by Eugene Warren) is included. The title comes from a long sequence, "The Similitudes." These poems are presented in several columns that allow for different readings: they are a kind of multi-track poem. Excerpts from "The Similitudes"Since these poems are hard to represent in HTML, here are few excerpts instead, to give you a sense of their flavor.
