Louis
Ge is
an assistant professor in the Department
of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental
Engineering at Missouri University of Science
and Technology, where he has been on the
faculty since 2004. He received his B.S.
in Civil Engineering at National Taiwan
University in 1995, M.S. and Ph.D., both
in Civil Engineering, at the University
of Colorado at Boulder, in 2000 and 2003.

Dr. Ge's research interests fall
into the areas of 1. Constitutive Modeling and
Computational Mechanics; 2. Innovative Geotechnical
Testing; 3. Nano-geomechanics, Bio-geomechanics
and Geo-Environmental Sustainability.
In teaching, Dr. Ge mainly teaches
undergraduate courses in geotechnical engineering
and foundation engineering. He also teaches graduate
courses in soil dynamics, finite element methods,
and geosynthetics. At Missouri S&T, Dr. Ge
currently serves as the departmental representative
in Faculty Senates and a member of the CArE departmental
undergraduate program committee. Professionally,
he is a member of the Soils and Rock Instrumentation
Committee of Transportation Research Board (TRB)
and Soil Properties and Modeling Committee of
Geo-Institute of American Society of Civil Engineerings
(ASCE).
