Raul Florez Receives FY2019 Excellence in Microscopy Award!
Ph.D. student Raul Florez was selected as one of the recipients of the University of Missouri Electron Microscopy Core's Excellence in Microscopy Awards. Raul was awarded $5000 worth of access to Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopes to study oxidation effects in irradiated and unirradiated zirconium carbide ceramics.

M.S. student Nishant Pillai was invited to participate in a summer research internship at fusion energy company TAE Technologies (formerly Tri-Alpha Energy). This company is developing aneutronic fusion power using field-reversed configuration magnetic confinement.
Eric Dalgetty Takes Internship at ITER
Junior student Eric Dalgetty is living in the south of France during Summer 2018 to participate in the world's largest nuclear fusion project, the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) ! Eric will be working on the complex vacuum and pressure systems used to evacuate the central Tokamak chamber.
