Officer Reports

President

• We have really good attendance tonight.
• The speaker for the banquet has been confirmed.
• We need to change the projected date for and advertise the pool tournament.
• Weve received funds from the deans office to put a computer in the HKN lab.
• If anyone has any ideas for the 50th anniversary webpage, please send them to either James or Eboni.

Vice President

• A list of prospective pledges has been distributed to all attendees.
• New items, which include information about HKN, will be placed in the pledge packet this semester.
• Pledges will receive both an e-mail and a mailed invitation. Flyers indicating membership requirements will also be posted.
• We need to look over the schedule of semester events.

Secretary

• In regard to sending 50th anniversary banquet invitations to HKN alumni, I contacted the supervisor of Records and Information Systems, Sherry Adams, last week regarding the names and addresses of HKN alumni. She expects to have the list completed by this Friday. The list will be in Excel format. We will need to review and update the list if necessary.

Treasurer

• Breadboard sales will begin next week; a sign up list for the HKN/IEEE pool tournament will be available when breadboards are being sold.
• Please volunteer to work the breadboard booth by signing the list that I will circulate. After tonight, the sign up list will be posted next to the HKN office.

Committee Reports

Pledge

• Because the date for the banquet has changed to accommodate the speaker, the only room available on the evening of April 20 is the UCE cafeteria.

Student Projects Lab

• The soldering workshop will be scheduled soon. I will contact those who volunteered to help in order to schedule a date and time.

Communications

• The listserve has been updated. If you have not been receiving the recent e-mails from the listserve, then sign the list that I am going to circulate in order to be added to the list.
• The schedule of events has been posted on the webpage.

Tours

• Tours are available every day beginning at 1:30 p.m. but are generally only done on Monday and Friday. Tours usually last about 20 minutes.
• Please volunteer to give tours this semester by signing the list that I am going to circulate.

Marketing

• Please inform me of any flyers that need to be made.
• I would like to help scheduling speakers for our meetings. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Fundraising

Service Activities

• We need to schedule a date for the pool tournament so I can reserve the pool tables in UCE.
• We need to decide on the amount of the team fee required to enter the tournament.

Special Projects

• The current project is an HKN display case for the ECE lobby.
