Officer Reports
President (Ben Moss)
- Boeing did not show up at Student/Company dinner. Will need copy of the resume book.
- Officer meetings officially at 5 PM on Thursdays
- Discuss Student/Company dinner: 46 students attended; 10 not HKN members. Rating: went well, though Boeing did not attend. $600 profit if Boeing pays.
Vice President (Vimal Ambat)
- Plaque workday Saturday: need sandpaper, varnish, paint, pens
- April 8th: Havener reserved for banquet -- change to April 15th
- Meeting chancellor and dean for potential banquet speakers
- Sign-up sheet for workdays at next meeting
- Have 12 pledges
- Pledge ECE test Tuesday: Ben will mail old test
- Phonathon for pledges?
Secretary (Luke Hogrebe)
Treasurer (Nathan Averett)
- Has check from Adtran
- Chris needs check for 213 parts and breadboards
Lab coordinator (Christopher Osterwise)
- Half of 213 order from Digikey and other half from Jameco
- 8 breadboards left
- Drill broken in lab
- Senior design orders: need a MO code; takes 2-3 weeks for a check to be processed; create a university account; talk to Reta
Bridge correspondent (Chris Hutson)
- Got pictures from Student/Company dinner
Tours (Ryan Bales)
- 11:20: CompE and EE tours; Nathan Averett will do one
- Coffee shop good for a few weeks; serve more than once a week?

New Business
Review of Student/Company Dinner
- Lead by fundraising chair. Duties include: contacting companies, getting speaker (if needed), reserving Havener in October
- Marketing chair: get resumes, contact students, get food, and number of people coming
- Pledge chair: Have pledges make name tags, setup projector, carry things, and make program
- Make sure to get cell phone numbers of representatives and provide cell phone numbers of officers to them
- Have companies give brief presentations: talk about co-ops, life at the company, elevator pitch
- Introduce reps at the beginning
- Companies will pay beforehand
- Email a survey afterwards
- Limit speaker length if one is there
- Have companies commit three weeks early
- For students, use a sign-up sheet; open to department; allow sign-ups three weeks early
- Only hold the event once a year in the spring
- Begin contacting companies at the end of November
- President or vice president should run the evening
- Contact companies by the HKN email, so that officer transitions don't cause problems
