Business
- Polos came in. Pay for them to get yours.
- If you are an active member and graduating, let Rob know so you can get your
Honor Cords in time.
- Officer nominations at next HKN meeting.
Officer Reports
President (Robert Zuroweste):
- EE department is contributing $500 to enable our representative to attend the
national meeting.
Vice President (Tori Ratliff):
- Banquet Sunday, November 16 - All committee chairs, officers are required.
Members are encouraged to attend.
- Chicken w/White Wine, Onions, Herbs. Let Tori know if you want Vegetarian
entree.
- Banquet ticket money due by Friday in HKN Mailbox
- Each pledge is required to sell two tickets. Feel free to invite parents
- Next week is pledge week; pledges try to dress formally all week.
- Plaques are due Wednesday, November 12 in HKN mailbox. They must be turned in to
be eligible for Best Plaque award and to be initiated
- Some pledges haven't completed workdays or paid dues. This needs to be done.
- Tickets for banquet are $15. Hit up faculty, officers, parents, etc to sell tickets. Each pledge should sell at least two tickets.
Treasurer (Amanda Luellen):
- Pay her for T-Shirts or dues if you need to.
- Let her know if you have anything that you need reimbursed for.
Secretary (Tyler Harms):
- There is a sign up sheet in the back.
- Needs reports on points from Chris
Baker, Tori Ratliff/Barb Hall, and Karl Stefanski.
Bridge Correspondent (Kelly DeBolt):
- 8 copies of the bound bridge report will be approximately $280 through the MS&T
Library.
- There may be alternatives by sending the printed documents off to be bound
through the library.
- Up to $280 was authorized for expenditure on the binding and printing of 8
copies of the Bridge Report, but the chapter encouraged Kelly to look for
cheaper alternatives if possible.
Pledge Chair (Barbara Hall):
- Barb has badges for the pledges. Get them at the end of the meeting.
- Plaque signing Monday night at 5:00pm.
SPL Chair (Chris Osterwise):
- Chris has new code forms for the lab if you need one.
- Someone attempted to clean the lab last week and broke the refrigerator, so
we're looking for replacements. There was some discussion on donating
refrigerators from members or Dr. Kosbar.
Communications Chair (Brian Wright):
- Contacted IT to acquire a computer to be installed in the HKN lab exclusively
for HKN use. Let him know if you have specific software on this new machine.

Tours/Coffee Shop Chair (Chris Baker/Karl Stefanski):
- One tour on Thursday at 11:00. Let him know if you can do that. Remember that
you can get two points for doing that.
Marketing Chair (Lisa Battern):
Fundraising/Service Chair (Karl Stefanski):
- Not present. Sign up sheet for coffee shop in the back of the room.
- If someone else wants to handle Pumpkin Pi, would we like to do that? Tyler H.
and Chris O. will handle it on Thursday morning.
