Kwame Awuah-Offei, PhD |

Kwame Awuah-Offei is
currently an assistant professor of mining engineering at Missouri University
of Science & Technology. He holds a PhD from University of Missouri-Rolla
(UMR). Part of his PhD work was done at the University of Alberta, Canada. He
holds a BS (Hons) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science &
Technology, Ghana. He has nine years of research and teaching experience. Dr.
Awuah-Offei has extensive experience in modeling and optimization of discrete
and dynamic systems in mining. His current research interests include
modeling and optimization of mining systems, design and management of
sustainable mining systems, mining equipment performance evaluation, and earthmoving
equipment-formation interactions. |

He has had diverse
teaching appointments in three universities in three countries. He has worked
in surface gold mining and aggregates operations. In his current role, he
teaches graduate and undergraduate mining engineering courses. Dr.
Awuah-Offei is a member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration
(SME) and Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM). |
