Jet Fuels Research
   

Our group's current interest in jet fuels involves three main areas:

(1) On-site on-demand generation of hydrogen from military logistics fuel, JP-8
(2) Novel Gas Processor development for ultra purification of hydrogen, produced from jet fuel reformation
(3) Direct synthesis of jet fuel from crop oil (not via transesterification)
(4) Upgrading of shale oil for jet fuel

The first is currently funded by the U.S. Army through a subcontract from DRS Technical Services.
