Our group's current interest in jet fuels involves three main areas:

(1) On-site on-demand generation of hydrogen from military logistics fuel, JP-8
(2) Direct synthesis of jet fuel from crop oil (not via transesterification)
(3) Upgrading of shale oil for jet fuel

The first is currently funded by the U.S. Army through a subcontract from DRS Technical Services.
