Welcome to my corner of the web. I am an assistant professor of philosophy and professional ethics at Missouri S & T (which was University of Missouri-Rolla not long ago). In addition to professional ethics, my main research interest lies in the connection between ethics and the nature of persons. This gives me a particular interest in Kantian ethics, of which I am currently in the deep end. I post about these issues and others on my blog. I keep track of projects, business, grading, and many other things on my "current status" page.

I also teach numerous ethics courses, political philosophy, and an occasional seminar on the meaning of life. In the fall I will be teaching Business Ethics, Intro to Philosophy, and Political Philosophy that concentrates on the elections and democratic theory. I've just returned home from teaching in the Missouri London Program, where I will be teaching a course on Multiculturalism in Political Philosophy and a course on Shakespeare and Moral Philosophy.
