Dissertation Topic:  Biologically Inspired Neural Network Connectionist Models For Use in Artificial Vision Systems

Research Interest:

My general interests involve developing intelligent and smart engineering systems using mathematical and computer models. Techniques include using computational intelligence (neural networks, fuzzy logic, and evolutionary algorithms), symbolic artificial intelligence (heuristics, knowledge representation, and expert systems), data mining, dynamic and complex systems, and applied statistics. More specifically, I am interested in using the aforementioned techniques to solve problems in the areas of financial engineering and investment. I am also still performing some research into the development of biologically-inspired artificial vision systems.
