A Brief History of Thai Student Association at UMR (Thai SA)
Thai Student Association at UMR (Thai SA) was established in 1976 with the objectives to serve as the representative of Thai students at University of Missouri- Rolla (UMR), coordinate and regulate activities and funds in the interests of the Association's members, keep the members informed of relevant knowledge (necessary advices for living aboard, news concerning Thailand, etc.), create and maintain a positive relationship among the members, UMR student body, local community, and to a greater extent, other Thai student communities, and promote understanding of Thai culture.
Once we have a brief talk with Dr. Fannin, we have learned that Thai SA is the oldest international organization at UMR. Thanks to Dr. Ronald Fannin who has been our organizational advisor since the establishment and has made a lot of contributions to our organization for 27 years.
