Welcome to the Alpha Psi Chapter of Theta Xi at the Missouri University of Science and Technology!

60th Anniversary Weekend

(September 9, 2008)

As we approach our 60th Anniversary here at the house, we cordially invite you to join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion. Festivities will be held at the fraternity house on the weekend of Homecoming. Beginning Friday night we will be just greeting brothers with “casual drinking” as they get into town. Don’t forget the Miner Football game on Saturday morning. The main event of the celebration will be a large dinner on Saturday, October 24th at 7:00 PM here at the house catered by Hickory Pit Barbeque. An open invitation is extended to anyone and everyone who is able to come down and join us for the occasion (wives and lady friends are always welcome)! We will also be having our annual Associate Member v. Active football game on Sunday. After that game we will grill up some burgers, brats, and hotdogs. We’d like to ask that as we make plans for dinner, places to stay, and other necessary preparations, that you RSVP as early as possible if you are interested in joining us. You can get a hold of us by sending a quick note to 1605 N Pine St, Rolla, MO, 65401 or via phone at 573-364-6294 with your name and the number of people planning to attend. You may also RSVP by sending a quick email to sdcp73@mst.edu or contact our current President by phone at (636) 345-0997. Thank you for your time! We hope to see everyone at the 60th Anniversary! Also, please help us with a good turnout by passing this invitation along to every fellow brother you are in contact with. We are in the process of trying to update our records, as a lot of our contact information has become outdated (we had well over 60 returned Advisors, and there are some brother’s we don’t even have addresses for). I thank you for your help in spreading the word!

60th Anniversary Weekend Decided

(November 3, 2008)

The weekend to celebrate our Chapter's 60th Anniversary has been picked! The house will be open to all our alumni and fraternity friends on Friday, October 9th, 2009. On Saturday, we are setting up arrangements to have a large fraternity dinner at Matt's Steakhouse the evening of Saturday, October 10th, 2009. We are also working on planning other events throughout the day on Saturday, so if you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact our 60th Committee Chairman, Ryan Toika at RPTZ76@mst.edu

News from the Chapter

(October 12, 2008)

Hey everyone! Just figured I'd drop in and try to get everyone up to date on the house. We are hoping to see some of our alumni this coming weekend, October 17th, for Homecoming! It will also be the weekend of our annual Football Game, and everyone is getting really pumped for the big day! I-Night has unfortunately had to be pushed back until the weekend of November 7th, possibly November 8th due to so much going on at the house. We are also expecting our Chapter Advisor, Colin Beales, to be coming for our regular visit next week on Monday, October 20th. Our bathrooms are finally going to be started on, much to the relief of many of the actives in house. After a meeting with some of our alumni, Tommy Brueggen, Matt Struemph, and Aaron Trenshaw put together a plan to get half of the bathrooms done this semester during the semester, and the showers shall be finished at a later time. Also, as a side notice, if you are an alumni who has not received an Advisor yet, please contact me via e-mail at rptz76@mst.edu, or just send me a letter to the house addressed to Ryan Toika so I can update your address in our database to forego any future complications. Thank you!

Work Week Begins

(August 19, 2008)

With the coming of another school year, Work Week has officially begun here at the house. Numerous members have taken the time and money out of their summers to renovate their rooms, and their work has led to a much nicer feel around the house. Work Week has also been very productive this August. On Day 1 a list was established by President Zack Ryals and House Manager Matt Struemph and many projects have already been completed, with 3 days left to go.

Summer 2008 Rush Event Announced

(June 27, 2008)

This summer, on July 26th, we will be hosting a day at the lake, courtesy of one of our member's families. They have given us the opportunity to go to relax, hang out, and have just a generally great time. We hope to go tubing, have a BBQ, and afterwards ride back to Rolla with those who wish to spend a night at the house and experience life as a Theta Xi a little early. Any questions, please e-mail Ryan Toika at rptz76@mst.edu.

6294 Banquet Recap

(May 05, 2008)

6294 this year was a lot of fun, minus the band setting up during dinner haha! We had a very tasty meal at Jilly's Cafe and Steakhouse near St Louis on April 26th, and afterwards Brother Foeller and his family opened their doors to us to allow us to have a fun, socially inviting evening amidst friends and brothers.

(May 05, 2008)

The Alpha Psi Chapter recently participated in our annual Highway Cleanup. The entire house drove out together to a strip of I-44 and cleaned up the sides of the road, beautifying the highway and helping prevent pollution.

Note from the Secretary

(May 05, 2008)

I, on behalf of the fraternity, would like to apologize for any and all missing information from the past year. The IT Department has undergone a lot of change this past year, and our password and access to update the site has been missing for quite some time. Over the next semester, I will work to actively maintain regular updates, and strive to keep everything pertinent and up to date. Thank you for your patience while we get back up-to-date.

St. Pats

(Mar 22, 06)

St. Pats '06 was the best ever as usual. With some alumni coming down, the occational random drunk coming off the streets, and, of course, the imports, we almost forgot where we were. Actually, some of us literally did. Look for more pictures of the week as we collect them. Also look for a posting of 6294 once a place is decided. The date will most likely be the 22nd, since the 29th is a Pro-Day. If you have any suggestions please let us know.

Grades

(Jan 22, 06)

We collectively obtained a 3.08 last semester. This was 4th out of all the fraternities. We had 8 people over a 3.50 which is very impressive.

Greek Party with Alpha Phi Alpha

(Nov 4, 05)

image of the us We finally decided to have a greek party with our neighbors. We found that with a little effort we actually have a good setup for one. We picked a good weekend and had a good turnout, which is good because no one here has seen a greek party at our house. We are already planning another one for next semester.
