Theta Xi

Welcome to the Alpha Psi Chapter of Theta Xi!

First and foremost, congratulations on taking the first steps towards investing into your future! Here at Theta Xi, we advocate "Being a part of the Change," and that includes changing ourselves. Becoming a member of Theta Xi isn't merely a one day, one month, or even one year experience. Becoming Theta Xi is a lifelong Quest.

The Purpose of Theta Xi is to provide a college home environment for its active members in which Fellowship and Alumni Guidance lead to WHOLESOME MENTAL, MORAL, PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH. To that end Theta Xi actively supports and augments college and community efforts to make individual members MORE MATURE and Chapter Groups MORE USEFUL UNITS of Society. Through its alumni and undergraduate leadership Theta Xi endeavors to assist each member to develop:
ONE, intellectual curiousity that assures the highest scholarship rating consistent with his ability;
TWO, habits that lead to better mental and physical health;
THREE, sincerity in his association with others AND confidence in himself;
FOUR, responsibility to chapter, college, community, and country;
FIVE, leadership that comes from practicing the principles of democratic self-government;
SIX, interests and activities OUTSIDE regular scholastic studies that employ spare time TO ADVANTAGE;
SEVEN, spirituatl understanding that PROVIDES A RESERVOIR OF STRENGTH TO DRAW UPON when faced with conditions beyond comprehension.

You see, becoming a member of Theta Xi isn't just about having a strong GPA, meeting friends you'll have for life and getting involved on the campus, it's about growing, and becoming a better person. Changing and growing into a true Gentleman of Theta Xi if you will. Other reasons to be a part of the change, our house is currently filled with hard-working Brothers from a wide background, creating a diverse environment. However, that does not stop us from cooperating together in a healthy manner, and in fact brings greater ideas and leadership options to you. Our members are involved in many on campus activities, anything from design teams such as Concrete Canoe and the Solar House Team to campus wide organizations, such as the Student Council and many different on campus Honors Societies. We also compete in Greek Week events, and try to maintain a healthy house offering involvement in all intramural sports to those members who want them, as well maintaining a sand volleyball court in our backyard. We also average roughly $3,000 savings for each member who joins yearly, as shown in our potential membership information packet shown below. We work to build a better man in each young man that comes to our fraternity, and our upper classmen are very knowledgeable and willing to help you in your academic pursuits.

Rush Infomation

If you think you may be interested in taking the Quest for Theta Xi, please view our potential member information packet. It contains the most basic information about our house, and may give you a better understanding as to costs for our house and why to join.

One of the reasons that we are a smaller house is that we do have some requirements to join. This ensures that there aren't any students around the house that would create an unpleasant atmosphere, and nobody that would endanger the fraternity experience of others. If you are interested in joining, please take a look at our member requirements. If you wish to join but fail to meet these requirements, please stop by the house at 1605 N Pine St, Rolla, MO, 65401 so we can discuss what you need to do in order to join.

In today's society, many current Television series and movies, such as Animal House, give parents the wrong idea as to what going Greek may actually offer. If you or your parent are concerned, please view our parent packet. Please understand that it is currently an outdated version on the numbers (please see Potential Membership Packet above), but hopefully this will clear up any concerns you may have about our house.
