Purpose:
The Missouri S & T Trap and Skeet Club was established in 1975 to promote the shooting sports of trap and skeet on the Missouri S & T campus. The club teaches safe gun handling and shooting practices to ensure that all members have a safe, enjoyable time while with the club.
Meetings:
The Missouri S & T Trap and Skeet Club will meet every Wednesday at 8:00pm on the second floor of the Havener Center. We will then meet at the club house on Sundayns around 11:30.
Costs:
One of the great benefits of joining the Missouri S & T Trap and Skeet Club is the cost of shooting. The price of each round of 25 clay pigeons is only $5.50. This includes shells, range fees, and the use of all club equipment. If you provide your own shells the price is only $3.00 for each round. Dues are $30.00 each semester. You can shoot twice with the club before paying dues. This allows you to try out the club though we're sure you'll want to pay your dues and come back for more.
Equipment:
Another great thing about the Missouri S & T Trap and Skeet Club is that you don't need to buy any equipment to join. If you have your own gun or other equipment you are welcome to use it. The club currently owns several different models of over-under, semi-automatic, and pump shotguns. Members are allowed to use any of these guns when they shoot. All we ask is that you use the club's cleaning supplies to clean the gun when you are finished. The club also provides shotgun shells, ammunition pouches, and eye and ear protection.
How to Join:
Joining the Missouri S & T Trap and Skeet Club is simple. All you need to do is come to one of our Wednesday meetings. You don't need any shooting experience, just come ready to learn and have some fun.
