at Missouri S&T - How To Join
UPE Membership is limited to candidates who can effectively achieve the original goals of the society:
- recognition of outstanding talent in the computing sciences
- promotion of high scholarship in the computing sciences
- establishment and maintenance of high standards
- representation of the computing sciences in interdisciplinary communications
- encouragement of individual contributions to society through the computing sciences
To join the Missouri Alpha Chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon you must meet the following requirements:
Undergraduate:
- At least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- 64 credit hours (junior standing)
- 18 credit hours in computer science
- Enrolled at Missouri S&T for the past two semesters (unless senior transfer)
[Note that the hours must be completed the semester before joining UPE.]
Graduate:
- At least a 3.5 cumulative GPA
- One half credit earned toward advanced degree
- Enrolled at Missouri S&T previous semester
If you meet these requirements, print out the application form, fill it out, and place it with a copy of your transcript in the Upsilon Pi Epsilon mailbox in the Computer Science office.
