Me & My Work

Vivek Jikar works as a Graduate Research Assistant in the area of Quality Engineering. His interests include Taguchi System of Quality Engineering, New Product Development, Value Engineering & Analysis, Axiomatic Design, and Concurrent Engineering. He is developing a graphical user interface based tool as a means of documentation and communication during early stages of product development. Design engineering tools like Quality Function Deployment, Function Analysis Systems Technique, Axiomatic Design, Value Analysis, Concept Selection matrix are part of this software based tool.

Vivek holds Bachelor of Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. He worked as process engineer at Reliance Industries Limited in India before attending UMR as graduate student. He is a student member of American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Society of American Value Engineers (SAVE). He is also a member of Design Build Committee of SAVE International and Tau Beta Pi at UMR.
