Lecture 3: Vectors

Objectives: In this lecture, students will learn to
  • add and subtract vectors graphically
  • express vectors in unit vector notation
  • relate magnitude and direction of a vector to its components
  • use the method of components to find sums and differences of vectors
  • apply these concepts to example problems
