### Lecture 4: Two-dimensional Kinematics

**Objectives:**In this lecture, students will learn to

- generalize velocity and acceleration to two dimensions
- separate x- and y-direction of motion
- explain the behavior of acceleration and velocity components in projectile motion
- derive the parabolic shape of the free-fall trajectory
- use constant acceleration kinematics to solve 2-d problems
