Lecture 10: Work and Kinetic Energy

Objectives: In this lecture, students will learn to
  • define kinetic energy and work
  • construct the dot product between two vectors
  • interpret the dot product as a selection of the parallel components of two vectors
  • evaluate the work done by a force
  • formulate a relationship between work and change in kinetic energy
  • apply the work-kinetic-energy theorem to example problems
