### Lecture 10: Work and Kinetic Energy

**Objectives:**In this lecture, students will learn to

- define kinetic energy and work
- construct the dot product between two vectors
- interpret the dot product as a selection of the parallel components of two vectors
- evaluate the work done by a force
- formulate a relationship between work and change in kinetic energy
- apply the work-kinetic-energy theorem to example problems
