### Lecture 15: Static fluids

**Objectives:**In this lecture, students will learn to

- define pressure
- relate the increase in pressure to the increase in depth
- formulate Pascal's Principle
- explain fluid phenomena in terms of Pascal's Principle
- relate the buoyancy force to the properties of the immersed object
- apply Newton's 2nd law to static fluid problems
