This volume includes property valuation and taxes for Jasper County.  Stephen T. Vititon certified the list.

 

This volume was loaned to the Western Historical Manuscript Collection for micro­filming.  The original volume was returned to the donor, Marvin Van Gilder of Carthage, Mis­souri.

 

Taxes are listed only for land holdings.  Although there are columns for assessments of per­sonal property and bonds or notes, this information was not filed.  Assessments are noted for state, county, and military taxes.  The list was certified and filed on 2 April 1864.
