These are records of the Cole Camp Public School at Cole Camp in Benton County, Mis­souri.  In­cluded are records of the district clerk, 1910-1939, and daily and term attendance re­c­ords kept by teachers, 1880-1934.

 

Cole Camp Public School was located in the town of Cole Camp.  It was designated Benton County School District No. 4.  Its students came from within the area of Township 43 North, Range 21 West.  The records consist of two groups: records kept by the district clerk, and atten­dance records maintained by the teachers.  Each volume contains several categories of records.  The district clerk’s records include the minutes of school meetings, financial statements, lists of taxpayers and students within the district, and annual reports on the dis­trict.  Attendance records also include the classification and standing of each student, reports on the condition of the school building and property, and registers of visitors to the school.
