These are records of Hink School in northeastern Benton County, Missouri.  Included are re­cords of the district clerk, 1919-1957, and daily and term attendance records kept by the teachers, 1938-1958.

 

Hink Rural School was located in Township 42 North, Range 20 West, in Benton County.  It was assigned district number 31.  Its records consist of two groups: district clerk’s records, and at­tendance records maintained by the teachers.  The district clerk’s records in­clude minutes of school meetings, financial statements, lists of taxpayers and students, and an­nual reports on the district.  The attendance records include the classification and standing of each student, reports on the con­dition of the school building and property, and registers of visitors to the school.
