This volume includes minutes of meetings, a roster of members and visitors, and mis­cella­ne­ous papers of Campbell Camp No. 488, United Confederate Veterans, at Springfield in Greene County, Missouri.

 

Campbell Camp No. 488 at Springfield was organized on March 6, 1894.  Its records in­clude discussions of admittance of members to the Confederate Home at Higginsville, Missouri, and the re­lief of needy veterans, resolutions on the deaths of members of the camp, and docu­ments regard­ing the controversial disbursement of funds collected to defray the expenses of the state­wide reun­ion of the United Confederate Veterans held at Springfield in 1915.
