These are applications for membership and transfer certificates from Rebekah Lodge No. 106 in Webb City, Jasper County, Missouri.  Interfiled is a smaller group of similar documents regard­ing members of the Carl Junction Lodge No. 253 during the 1940s, apparently after the Carl Junc­tion Lodge merged into the Webb City Lodge.  The papers have been filmed in alphabetical order by the applicant’s surname.

 

Membership applications include the date and place of birth, the number of years as a resi­dent of Missouri, and the occupation of the applicant.  Only the fronts of the membership appli­ca­tions have been filmed.  The reverse sides bear only the signatures of investigating committee mem­bers, which were not deemed sufficiently important to be filmed.  Transfer certificates indi­cate only the lodge issuing the certificate and the date of acceptance by the Webb City lodge.
