This is the minute book of the Beta Phi Theta Rho Girl’s Club at Joplin in Jasper County, Missouri.  The minutes begin 28 January 1946 and continue through 27 December 1950.  Regular business included the initiation of members and installation of officers, and planning for events in conjunction with other Theta Rho, Rebekah, and Odd Fellows lodges.

The Theta Rho Girl’s Clubs are auxiliaries to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and are closely allied with the Daughters of Rebekah.  The stated purpose of the clubs was the self-improvement of its members, but they seem to have been largely social organizations.  The Beta Phi Club in Joplin counted about ten active members in their early teens during the period covered by the minutes.
