These are the records of the Odd Fellows lodge at Ozark in Christian County, Missouri.  In­cluded are membership registers, rolls of officers, and official reports to the state lodge.

 

Finley Lodge No. 206 was organized in 1869.  The records of the lodge consist of member­ship books, rolls of officers, and official reports.  The collection appears to date from 1901, al­though the membership register includes information for members beginning in 1869.  The mem­bership register also includes the occupations of members and the dates of admissions, with­draw­als, sus­pensions, and expulsions, degrees, and ranks.  An individual account book includes some of the same information, but also lists the names of the investigating committees and in­cludes records of payments of dues and assessments.  The account ledger has an index in the front of the vol­ume.  The officers’ roll books include the names of officers and trustees, members of finance, claims, and cemetery committees, and attendance records.  There also is a single vol­ume contain­ing copies of reports sent to the Grand Lodge of Missouri.  The biennial reports in­clude data on membership and finances of the lodge.  Reports of auditing committees are en­closed in the vol­ume.
