These are records of the Odd Fellows lodge at Nixa in Christian County, Missouri.  Included are minutes of meetings beginning with the organization of the lodge on 1 October 1898 and continuing through 13 February 1909, and reports by the lodge to the Grand Lodge of Missouri.

Nixa Lodge No. 561 was organized on 1 October 1898 with ten charter members.  Officers from the District Lodge and the Odd Fellows Lodge at Republic, Missouri, were present.  W. Clare West was elected the first Noble Grand.  Nixa Lodge grew quickly.  After only a year, the lodge counted forty-nine members and had purchased a hall.  Membership reached one hundred thirty-seven by the end of 1908, although attendance at the meetings rarely exceeded twenty-five members.

The records of Nixa Lodge No. 561 consist of minutes of meetings and reports sent to the Grand Lodge of Missouri.  The biennial reports include statistical data on membership, reports on degree work by members, financial records, and records of relief and sick benefits paid out.  The reports are complete through 30 June 1908.
