Volumes 1-5 are record books of the district clerks, 1892-1922. They include a map of the district, minutes of annual school meetings and of the board of directors, annual enumerations of children and their parents or guardians, lists of taxpayers, registers of warrants and district funds, registers of teachers, teachers’ contracts, term reports, rules and regulations, and oaths of school directors. There is a gap in the clerks’ records from 1907 to 1911.
Volumes 6 and 7 are teachers’ registers, separated by a chronological gap from 1903 to 1916. The earlier volume, 1898-1903, includes the names of students, attendance records, and lists of visitors. The later volume, 1916-1922, is a “Welch System” record book that combines records of attendance, classification, and grading, with comments on individual students and the classes as a whole. Volume 7 is OVERSIZE.
