One folder, photocopies.

This is a scrapbook concerning the annual poultry festivals at Crane in Stone County, Missouri.  The scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, correspondence, programs, and miscellaneous printed material.

The annual broiler festivals at Crane are sponsored by the Southwest Missouri Broiler Growers Association to promote and publicize the poultry industry in that part of the state.  The first festival was held on 9 October 1952.  In addition to a barbecue of 10,000 chickens, the festival featured music by the Shrine Band and radio station KWTO of Springfield, political speeches, a presentation on folklore by May Kennedy McCord of Springfield, educational sessions on the poultry industry, a beauty pageant, and a street dance.

Most of the material in the scrapbook concerns the first broiler festival.  Also included are a program from the third annual broiler festival (1954), and miscellaneous newspaper clippings concerning Table Rock Lake.
