These are files from the American Red Cross chapter in Sikeston, Scott County, Missouri.  Most concern allotments for dependents, emergency loans, extensions of leave, and other family matters of servicemen during World War Two.

These files represent a small fraction of the records from Sikeston chapter of the Red Cross.  They were salvaged by the donor when the files were being discarded.  The files consist of correspondence, telegrams, and miscellaneous materials.  Most of the correspondence is from Georgia H. Ellise and Margaret Donnell, the executive secretaries of the Sikeston chapter of the Red Cross.  Nearly all of the material derives from the World War Two period, but there are a few files from the late 1940s and the Korean War era.  The files are arranged alphabetically by surname.
