These are teachers’ record books of the elementary school at Banner in western Iron County. Included are records of individual attendance and classification, monthly summaries, inventories of school property, and records of visitors to the school.

 

Volume 1 covers the school terms of August 1930 through February 1936.  It contains lists of the students, their attendance and classification, and inventories of the school’s property.  A list of approved textbooks is enclosed.  Volume 2 contains attendance records for terms August 1936 through August 1942.   Enclosed are three monthly reports to the district clerk, 1939-1940.  Both volumes are oversized.

 

Twenty-five to thirty students comprised the student body at Banner.  The teachers were Ar­lene Babcock, Thelda Lou Barger, Mildred Crocker, Opal Hanson, Emma Pedrini, and Bonnie Talley.
