This is a small souvenir booklet presented by “Prof.
H. C. Clark, Teacher,” to the students at Ivey
School in Laclede County, Missouri,
at the close of the school year in 1912.
Ivey Public School
was located southwest of Lebanon
in Township 34 in Laclede County,
Missouri, on land donated by
Aulsey Ivey (1811-1878). In 1912
enrollment was 66 pupils, all of whom are named in the booklet. The rural district’s directors were Henry
Lemmertz, John Street,
and Ray Romans. Other surnames
represented in the enrollment included Conrad, Dotson, Lynch, Meeth, Moffitt,
Shumate, Simpson, and Walls. A
photographic portrait of Prof. Clark is attached to the inside front cover.
The area served
by Ivey School is now included in the Joel E.
Barber C-5 School District.
