This is a small souvenir booklet presented by Effie B. Stephens, teacher, to the students at Keck School in Laclede County, Missouri, at the close of the school year in April 1920. Included are the names of the pupils and the directors of the school district.
Keck School was a small rural school in Lebanon Township in Laclede County, Missouri. At the close of the academic year on 9 April 1920 it had an enrollment of 21 pupils. The surnames of the students included Aggans, Basnett, Blecha, Helton, Miller, Newkirk, Scott, Weaver, and West. The district’s directors were Ed Newkirk, Ed. Musgrave, and William Ott. A photographic portrait of teacher Effie Stephens is on the cover of the booklet. Also included are an anonymous poem, “Bring Back My School Days to Me,” and an untitled poem attributed to Madeline Bridges. F. A Owen Co. of Dansville, N.Y., printed this souvenir booklet.
