The first
booklet describes the first annual livestock exhibition in 1953. There were separate “4-H” and “open”
competitive divisions in the categories of beef cattle (Herefords, Angus, and
shorthorns), dairy cattle (
The second booklet, for 1956, has 36 pages and is similar to the first. Again there were 4-H and open exhibitions in the departments of beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, and swine. There was also a 4-H competition in “showmanship.” The festivities for “Dairy Day” included a parade and a performance by the “Ozark Opra.” A list of officers and directors and advertisements for area businesses fill out the remaining pages.
