This is a booklet containing the “By-Laws of Iron Mountain Lodge No. 430, A.F. and A.M., Iron Mountain, Missouri.”  It was printed by Parson & Co., “Masonic and I.O.O.F. Furnishing House,” St. Louis, in 1877.

 

Records of Iron Mountain Lodge No. 430 have previously been microfilmed as part of WHMC-Rolla collection number R446, records of Star of the West Lodge No. 133 of Ironton, Missouri.  Iron Mountain Lodge consolidated with Star of the West Lodge in 1894.

 

These by-laws appear to be standard organizational and parliamentary rules for regular chapters of the Masonic order.  Annual dues were $1.80, and the Lodge met monthly on the “Sat­urday next preceding the full moon,” in the evening.  The text for the Masonic funeral service is included at the rear of the volume.
