The earliest item in the collection is a program for a banquet given for the Home Culture Club by “The Hubs of the Club” at Mount Vernon. The other items in the collection are yearbooks for the club years 1923-1924, 1924-1925, and 1927-1928. The booklets include rosters of members and officers, and the dates, subjects, and hosts of meetings, which were held every third week from September to May.
The Home Culture Club was still active in 1972. An historical sketch of the club appears on page 427 of Lawrence County Missouri History (Lawrence County Historical Society, 1974).
