One folder.
This is a record book of the “Wet Glaize Class” (presumably a Sunday School) of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The class probably met in Camden County, Missouri.
The “Wet Glaize Class” was probably located in the vicinity of “Wet Glaze” [sic] Post Office in Camden County, Missouri. These class rolls begin in 1889 under the leadership of E. F. S. Darby. The last names appear to have been entered in the period 1916-1919, although data concerning the disposition of members were entered as late as 1921. A note on page 30 states that the “church reorganized Jan. 19, 1902.”
Frequently appearing surnames in the membership rolls included Barnebey, Carlton, DeBerry, Ellis, Evans, Fowler, Hammer, Harris, Knight, Lane, Osborn, Pritchett, Sellars, Story, and Traw. Class leaders after Rev. Darby included Jacob S. Harris, J. E. McComb, J. T. Kennan (or Keenan), Benjamin F. Thomas, D. W. Potter, and William Knight. There are no minutes or other accounts of the meetings.
