These are two membership directories for the First Baptist Church at Perryville in Perry County, Missouri. The earlier booklet is from about 1970, while the later booklet is dated 1988.
The First Baptist Church of Perryville first met on 1 January 1925, and organized in May of that year. In 1936 the congregation moved into a new church building at 416 North Main. These directories include photographs of many members, as well as “rosters,” including the addresses and telephone numbers of the families affiliated with the church. There are about 200 names in the earlier “roster,” and over 280 names in the later one. The earlier directory is undated, but it was produced during the pastorate of the Rev. S. S. Borum, who served the congregation from August 1969 to May 1973. The Rev. Randall L. “Randy” Fullerton was pastor at the time of the publication of the later directory in 1988. The booklet for 1988 includes a very brief history of the congregation, and a complete list of pastors since its founding.
