This is a program booklet for an airport terminal dedication and air show sponsored by the Joplin Chamber of Commerce at Joplin Municipal Airport in Jasper County, Missouri, on 29-31 May 1971.

In May 1971 the city of Joplin, Missouri, celebrated the dedication of its new airport terminal and Memorial Day with a dedication ceremony and air show at Joplin Municipal Airport (now Joplin Regional Airport).

The dedication ceremony took place on Saturday afternoon, 29 May 1971.  Special guests included Emmy-winning actor Dennis Weaver, who was a native of Joplin, and Marcia Mossbarger, who was Miss Missouri for 1970.

On Sunday and Monday afternoon, 30-31 May 1971, there was an air show featuring the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration team, and several exhibitions of aerobatic flying by individual pilots.

The events were sponsored by the Aviation Committee of the Joplin Chamber of Commerce.  This illustrated 16-page booklet includes a schedule of events and information about the participants.
